The scholarship links below are opportunities for students to explore. Some of them are local organizations, and some are not. We ask all students to be aware of the sites that they visit, as these are not all vetted by our school district.

    The Past National Commander Michael J. Kogutek American Legion Scholarship Trust will award two $1,500 scholarships to students/veterans attending college in 2026.  
     
    All applicants for the scholarship MUST be on official applications, which I have included in this email or found on the website at Erie County American Legion website.
     
    This scholarship is intended to assist 8th District New York State Veterans, their families, and patriotic students who share the ideals of the American Legion. The scholarship will be awarded based on veteran status (including family members), financial need, scholastic ability, realistic goals, extra-curricular activities, and community involvement. All students must show proof that they have been accepted at an accredited college or university prior to receiving the scholarship. 
     
    All applications MUST be submitted to the Erie County American Legion Headquarters located at 609 City Hall, Buffalo, New York 14202, by Friday, May 1, 2026, or postmarked by that date. 
  • The Rotary Foundation Scholarship Committee of District 7090 is pleased to award THREE $1,200 USD scholarships to deserving high school graduating students! For more information, please contact Carol DeNysschen District Scholarships Chair Rotary District 7090 Email: scholarships@d7090.org

  • The Allegheny Hardwood Utilization Group (AHUG) is a non-profit, forest industry support organization that serves the 14-county area of North Central and Northwestern Pennsylvania.  

    AHUG is a member of the Roach Bauer Forestry Forum Committee, which works with the Sandy Cochran Memorial Fund in offering scholarships to students studying the fields of Forestry, Natural Resource Management, and/or Environmental Science.  

    The Sandy Cochran Memorial Fund Scholarship awards range from $250 to $1,000, and are available to high-school seniors about to begin their studies, as well as to current college students.  Applicants must reside within a 17-county area of Northwestern Pennsylvania and Southwestern New York. (counties listed on website).
